In the Name of Fashion
Today’s look takes me back to my visit to Japan in winter 2010. Shopping there was insanely crowded and I quickly noticed that girls there easily sacrificed warmth in the name of fashion. Even though I wore layers upon layers under my extremely puffy down North Face jacket, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw girls wearing floral mini skirts, tights, some faux leather boots, and fur hooded parkas, all in 30-40 degree weather. Even though I loved the look, I knew I would never be able to pull it off until I came back to good old “60 degree winter” in the Bay Area. I think I will always be inspired by Japanese fashion, but only if I get to stay warm!

Haha. When I saw this post I thought, “That looks pretty usual for Japan”, then I read the text. I used to live in Akita Japan, pretty far north and really snowy winters. But still, mini skirts and boots year round. I also heard on the news that Akita sells more lingerie than any other prefecture in Japan. Stay fashionable!

I really love your blog!!<3 <3
I saw a similar parka online and I'm not sure what is the measurement. May I know what is your usual zara sizing and the size of the coat? :)

Thanks for checking out my blog! I usually wear an XS-S but am wearing a small in this coat. I would recommend sizing on the bigger side in case you want to wear more layers underneath.
