Walking in a Spiderweb
Wow, has it really been 2 whole months since my last blog post? Looking back, I guess a lot has been going on, but definitely in a good way. I used to be pretty diligent on writing at least one post a week, but this past year I’ve been more focused on going to less cons, spending more time with my 12 year old Corgi, Daisy, and also getting some good travel in. I spent all of August successfully on the Whole30 eating program, which just to clarify is not a diet, but more of a way to reset your body and cravings and to help discover how your body reacts to different food groups. I would definitely recommend it not to lose weight, but mostly to develop a healthier relationship with food, control sugar cravings, and also educating yourself on what you’re eating.
September seriously went by in a blur since I was still going through the Whole30 reintroduction (where you slowly reintroduce one food group at a time to see how your body reacts), plus prepping for our big 2 week trip to Tokyo! Tokyo was amazing and I could probably do an entire post just on how to “do” Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea! The merchandise, the rides, the food!! All of it was amazing. Oh and on top of all of that fun stuff, I also had my 3 year post-cancer check up and am happy to report no new findings. Hooray!
Coming back from 2 weeks of international travel was a bit of a culture shock and it actually took me a while to start feeling the October Halloween spirit. It probably helped that I put on Sabine for the Santa Clara Library Comic Con my first weekend back. Plus I’ve been binging episodes of the Halloween Baking Championship on the Food Network (love that show) and finally put up some Halloween decorations yesterday. Although I still have no idea what I’ll dress up as on Halloween, at least I got to wear my spiderwebs skirt this past weekend, which I actually purchased last year from ModCloth! Yes, I’ve really been waiting a whole year to wear this! It’s never too late to be spooky cute! Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed this update and Happy Halloween!!
