Avenge the Fallen

Now that the Avengers: Endgame spoiler ban has been lifted, let’s talk more Endgame! I just had my second viewing over the weekend and (SPOILERS AHEAD)…

I cried even more this time than I did watching it the first time. I swear I was a complete mess by the end of the movie. I think what made the difference was being more familiar with the story (for eg., seeing old Captain America and not being completely surprised as to what was happening in that scene) and being able to pay more attention to some of the details I might have missed the first time around. Even the scenes I absolutely loved the first time around were just as enjoyable during my second viewing. Them explaining time travel and going through the long list of time travel movies was one of my favorites, plus any scene that had Ant-Man, and those especially touching times when people were reunited (Scott Lang and his daughter or when Tony gave Peter a hug!!). All of that was just SO GOOD!! I’m still really surprised that a movie could move me the way Endgame did and I just think they did such a fantastic job wrapping things up.
