Wonder Weekend
You would think that with Covid, I’d be pretty used to staying at home all the time. But staying at home plus not being able to go outside because of the air quality? Now I’m getting a bit stir crazy. With all the California fires going on right now, it’s just another thing to add to the “Could 2020 get any worse?” list.
I’m sure everyone could use a well deserved break during these intense times and I was extremely grateful that DC hosted their very first DC Fandome event this past weekend. Suddenly I actually had a schedule for once! I spent most of Saturday in and out watching a lot of their content – from the Suicide Squad cast announcement to the first trailer for The Batman, the Shazam sequel title reveal, and of course the biggest one – Wonder Woman 1984, which got me so excited that I knew I had to put together a fun outfit to celebrate!
There was also a lot of fun panels in between all the big movie announcements. I watched as the WW84 cast played “Werewolf” (which I know as “Mafia”) and I caught a panel with Neil Gaiman talking about the legendary Sandman comic. One of the most interesting moments, which I hope they do more often, was Jim Lee critiquing artwork from an amazing artist.
Overall there was a lot of great content and even though I have no idea where I’m going to watch any of these movies next year, I can’t wait! Huge thanks to DC Comics for putting this together for the fans!
