Battle Souvenirs
I never knew why these were called “Souvenir Jackets”, but apparently it’s because American soldiers in Japan started to embroider Asian symbols (like dragons, cherry blossoms, etc.) onto their jackets as “souvenirs” for their trip home after WWII. Regardless of their origin, I’ve been loving these bomber style jackets as a summer and fall trend and wearing one just made me wonder what would be my post-battle “souvenir” (or maybe more like “war wound” for me) since I just had my 6 month…

Face Forward
I kind of wish I had gotten this tee at the time I first got my haircut because it’s pretty much the face I’ve been seeing every time someone sees my hair for the first time. I’m definitely getting really used to the cut and nowadays when someone says “OMFG YOU CUT YOUR HAIR!”, I just shrug and say, “Yup!” and then walk away. Heh. Hair Story
So you may have noticed my new “do”. :) It’s been quite a roller coaster of emotions these past few weeks and I can’t say my hair journey has been easy – in fact, sometimes I wish I had just taken the straightforward path instead of making it so complicated! Sweet Music
Speaking of good health, I just had my 3 month check up yesterday and I’m happy to say that all is well! I was actually quite nervous going into the appointment (going to the doctors pretty much every 2 weeks for 6 months will do that to you) and I was even dreading that moment I knew I had to step on that scale for my “official” weight! Eek! Well, I’m happy to report I lost about 9 pounds since my…

#TransformationTuesday
It’s always tough to talk about one’s body image regardless of your size. I know the minute I complain about my body, I’m going to hear things like, “Why are you complaining? You’re so thin!” and “Why do you need to eat healthy?” But I always tell people just because I’m thin doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be eating right and exercising. Even as a thin person, I too suffer from body insecurities and have been experiencing this more than ever these past 6 months. Finishing…
