Wondercon 2014 – Battle For Multicultural Heroes Panel
If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you know that I typically write up a little recap after every convention I attend including photos, panels I went to, and just general con-fun. What makes this post extra special to me was that instead of just attending panels, I was actually in one! I’m still pretty amazed that Tony Kim (founder of Crazy4ComicCon) asked me to be in his Battle for Multicultural Heroes panel and although I was quite nervous leading…

The Stylish Geek + The Geek Speak Show!
I recently had the opportunity to sit down and chat with Henry from The Geek Speak Show and discuss the upcoming panel that I’ll be in this weekend at Wondercon – The Battle For Multicultural Heroes. Check out my interview below! For the full podcast (“The Warm-up to Wondercon 2014”, listen to it here). Join me and fellow panelists Tony Kim (Crazy4ComicCon), Andre Meadows (Black Nerd Comedy), and clinical psychologist Dr. Andrea Letamendi (Under the…

He lost his appetite, didn’t want to get up, and became extremely lethargic all in one day. After a few visits to the vet and a specialist, he was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma, one of the more evil forms of cancer, which in Dobi’s case meant ruptured tumors on the liver and spleen along…

Response to Joe Peacock’s Geek Out Article – Booth Babes Need Not Apply
If you’re a geek and happen to be a girl, then chances are you may have heard about Joe Peacock’s “Booth Babes Need Not Apply” article on CNN Geek Out. At first it made sense. I myself admit to stereotyping women all the time when I see a scantily clad pretty girl in cosplay at a convention. I find myself thinking, “I bet she’s just trying to get attention” and agree when I hear people say that Comic Con is like…

How to Survive San Diego Comic Con
I have now attended my 10th SDCC and I would rank this years to be one of the best ones – I know, I always say that every year. I don’t know how it happens, but it really does feel like SDCC gets more and more crowded every year! Walking on the floor shuffling half a foot at a time can really strain your back! I guess I’m just not that young anymore. :P
