Fanime 2017
AHHHHHH. This is the sigh of relief I made after finally getting to cosplay this past weekend at Fanime. It’s been over 6 months since I last cosplayed at a con and by January, I was already having a major cosplay withdrawals to not only make something new and just be creative, but also dress up and well, just cosplay! I had missed out on Wondercon and Silicon Valley Comic Con so with Fanime happening during Memorial Weekend, the timing finally worked out.

The Owls Are Not What They Seem
“The owls are not what they seem”. If you’ve heard this line before, then you obviously know what I’m talking about. Yup, the ’90s cult TV show known as Twin Peaks. To sum it up, this show was all sorts of weird – in fact, the mystery of “Who Killed Laura Palmer?” is probably the most normal thing about the show. Celebrate Good Times

Who else found themselves in tears watching The Last Jedi trailer?? Honestly, I think at this point, every Star Wars trailer is going to make me cry. Haha. I was so grateful that they decided to show the trailer on the stream (unlike Rogue One) and although I can’t say it…

Obey the Dark Side
Star Wars Celebration is officially underway and as always, I’m experiencing major FOMO not being there. Watching the 40th anniversary panel online this morning brought on so many emotions – I had major nostalgia watching the old footage from the original 1977 release, tears during the tribute to Carrie, and so much joy seeing people from various parts of the Star Wars universe on stage. Although I am sad not to be there, I’m also kind of glad to not have to deal with…

Switch It Up
There was a time in my life where I might have considered myself a hardcore gamer – I played on a professional team, we played in tournaments, had daily practice and played like it was our job (in actuality, it was). Nowadays, I only devote time to games that I really really want to play (Uncharted, Last of Us, Dark Souls, for example). And when it comes to new console releases, I’ve become the type to wait until the reviews come…
