In the Name of the Moon
When it comes to female fans, you really cannot pinpoint one type of fangirl. Some love only Star Wars, some love only comics, others are hardcore gamers. But there’s one fandom that I’ve found that so many women do have in common and that’s Sailor Moon. I think most girls experience Sailor Moon in some shape or form while growing up – for me, that came in the form of Japanese art books that my dad would buy for me overseas. I poured through…

The Alien Bunch
I’m definitely holding on to these last days of August and taking advantage of any occasion to wear shorts, sandals, and short sleeves. The end of summer also means the end of BBQs and I don’t know about you, but I haven’t had enough! Since Labor Day weekend is just about to cap off the end of summer, I decided to plan ahead and figure out a cute, but geeky “BBQ ready” outfit. This alien Brady Bunch tee is definitely a great conversation…

Battle Souvenirs
I never knew why these were called “Souvenir Jackets”, but apparently it’s because American soldiers in Japan started to embroider Asian symbols (like dragons, cherry blossoms, etc.) onto their jackets as “souvenirs” for their trip home after WWII. Her Universe Fashion Show 2016
I still can’t believe San Diego Comic-Con is over (yes, I have major con depression and con withdrawal) and I don’t even know where to begin in order to sum up the fun time I had there so let’s start with the obvious – the Her Universe Fashion Show. Obviously I love geek fashion so this is a must-see event for me. I even told some friends that this event is like New York Fashion Week for geeks, am I right? The competition was seriously…

Space and Beyond
Today’s post marks an inaugural occasion as I just got my very first Star Trek shirt! I may be a die hard Star Wars fan, but that doesn’t mean I can’t show some love for Star Trek. I actually spent some of my teen years falling in love with the original Star Trek TV show and instead of having teen heartthrob posters on my wall, I had photos of a young Captain Kirk and Spock. <3 Some people may say Star Wars OR Star Trek, but I…

Game of Fashion
With Game of Thrones season 6 in full swing and last week’s episode having some “tears of joy” worthy moments, it’s only fitting that today’s post be a fun tribute to the show. I’m not going full on medieval or anything, but I found that when I was putting together this outfit, each piece I chose became more and more themed. For example, I love that this high slit tunic reminds me of Brienne of Tarth or that these leggings could…
