Ready for Flight
Happy Friday! It’s definitely the start of jacket season here in the Bay Area and also the perfect excuse to pull out one of my favorite pieces from Her Universe. This Finn jacket is just light enough to layer, but also warm enough for the chilly fall weather. Paired with this jumpsuit, I’m feeling like I’m ready to jump in an X-wing and fly off into the galaxy! The Goods: Finn Jacket (Her Universe, buy here or here) Jumpsuit (Anthropologie, similar…

Walking in a Spiderweb
Wow, has it really been 2 whole months since my last blog post? Looking back, I guess a lot has been going on, but definitely in a good way. I used to be pretty diligent on writing at least one post a week, but this past year I’ve been more focused on going to less cons, spending more time with my 12 year old Corgi, Daisy, and also getting some good travel in. I spent all of August successfully on…

Suns Out, Buns Out
Wow, where did this summer go? I can’t believe it’s already the middle of August – the nights are getting colder, kids are already going back to school, and I’m running out of time to wear shorts! San Diego Comic-Con 2018 Recap
If there’s one word I might use to describe San Diego Comic-Con this year, it might be “different”. I definitely had a lot of concerns heading into SDCC this year. Marvel had dropped out, HBO would not be present, and the panels just seemed sort of lacking. I’m not sure if others felt this way, but I definitely started thinking, “What am I even going to do there??”. Of course as exclusives started being released and panels and guests were…

Growing Up
I recently watched “Won’t you be my neighbor?“, the documentary about Fred Rogers aka “Mr. Rogers”, and I left the theater feeling incredibly inspired and moved by what an amazing person he was. His kindness and approach towards both children and adults and how we deal with issues and feelings is probably just the right attitude we need right now towards the world. I myself was also going through some challenging and emotional ups and downs and watching this movie…

Back in Time
If you can’t tell from my outfit, I’ve been on a major ’80s kick recently. I just recently finished the YouTube Red original show, Cobra Kai and if you’re thinking, “Why does that name sound so familiar?”, you’re not alone. I had to jog my memory to realize that Cobra Kai is the “enemy” dojo from the classic ’80s movie, Karate Kid. And that this series is actually a follow up to the same characters 30+ years later! Crazy, right?…
