A Web of Lace
I’ve been on a McDonald’s Happy Meal spree lately, first picking up most of the My Little Ponies that came out a few weeks ago and now getting their latest goodies from Amazing Spider-Man 2. Walking into McDonalds, I had to do a double take when I saw not only “boy” Spider-Man toys, but then also “girl” Spider-Man toys as well!! In the past, they have always separated the “boy” and “girl” toys – well, not in the ’80s and…

WonderCon 2014 Recap
I may say this all the time, but this year’s Wondercon was truly different than other cons that I have experienced in the past. Not only was I in my first panel, but what made this a truly fun experience was getting to meet some of you guys – my readers and those familiar with this blog and my cosplay work. We Want Star Wars Weekends!
For someone who lives a 6 hour drive away from LA, I am pretty sure I frequent Disneyland more than the average person in the Bay Area. One of my favorite things to check out at cons is the Artist Alley and you can guarantee that I will always come home with at least one new piece of art. But it doesn’t stop there. I was recently exploring Society6.com only to find that they now make printed pillow cases! So not only can you hang your geeky art, but you can cozy up to…

Wondercon 2013 Recap and Photos Extraordinaire!
Another Wondercon has come and gone and like most big cons, it’s always a little sad when it’s over. Yup, back to reality and my mundane life where I can’t cosplay for 6 hours a day. But it was still a great time and nice to go to a con that had many of the booths of SDCC, but not the overwhelming crowds. As for panels, I was probably the most excited about the

San Jose Toy Show Recap
Remember the good old days when you didn’t have to stress out about pre-ordering comic convention tickets one year ahead of time? Or when you could just show up at a con, wait in a reasonably sized line and go in without worrying that they would reach maximum capacity? It’s hard to believe, but when I first started going to San Diego Comic Con around 2000, I never pre-ordered my ticket and I never camped out for panels the way…
