Gifts For Your Geek – 2012 edition
Christmas is right around the corner so I thought I would put together some geeky gift suggestions for the significant geek in your life! Sure, there are lots of shirts, hoodies, socks, underwear, and everything else geeky these days, but here are some that I thought were worth mentioning. Although I originally started out making a “girls” list and “boys” list, I realized that the “boy list” wasn’t really boy specific, so this became the “for both” list. Anyhow, read…

Ewok Village
If you’ve been following this blog for a while now, you may notice that there are certain looks that I generally stay away from. The boho (bohemian/hippie) look is one of them. But when it comes to fashion, you can really never say never because once in a while you will find an unexpected piece that will make you cross that line. Free People is known for their ultra boho pieces and their New Romantics clothing line will once in…

Without going too crazy on the…

Minty Fresh
I’ve been seeing mint green all over the place – jeans, tops, and even toys. I picked up this Treeson toy at SDCC this year and it just happened to perfectly match this ’60s-ish blouse from H&M, especially since they’re both a little weird. I love the unexpected shape of this top – the wide arm openings, the offset lines on the front, and the open slit in the back. It’s definitely a little on the cropped side, but would…

Vacationing on Tattooine
RVCA is one of my go-to summer brands for great casual dresses that are a little out of the ordinary. This striped one is actually two pieces – a tank top dress with a separate cropped shirt. You can always count on RVCA to add something interesting to a piece of clothing – for example, the decorative tie in the back of this dress. And there’s nothing like a heat wave, sand, and beach wear to remind you of Tattooine…
