Days of Future Past
You probably know this by now, but I am a sucker for all Jim Lee art. It’s what got me into comics in the first place and to this day, I am still in awe of it (see what happened at SDCC this past summer). I was first exposed to his art in the early ’90s when a friend of mine showed me the X-Men series 2 card set. I had never seen anything like it and was hooked on…

Dressing up Batman
Although it’s not impossible to be comfortable and dressed up, it’s something that challenges me on a daily basis. For example, take your basic sweatshirt (or not so basic comic book one), which screams to be worn with some sweatpants or just thrown on with some jeans. I am regularly resisting that urge and trying to find ways to not only wear these kind of tops to work, but also to figure out more than one way to wear them.…

Hoth Sweet Hoth
Ever since I found this Hoth inspired “ugly Christmas sweater”, I haven’t been able to stop wearing it. My favorite Star Wars vehicle just happens to be an AT-AT and after some confusion as to why there was an AT-ST on the sweater, I later found out that they do in fact make a brief appearance in The Empire Strikes Back. So in the end, all was right in the Star Wars world and I was once again content with…

I knew I had to buy this (if not for my husband, then for myself) probably because I rarely see these type of accessories. If you’re still looking for the perfect gift for your Star Wars fan (guy or girl), then this…

Spellbound Skirts
As you might remember, last month I participated in the Geek Fashion Show at Comikaze, which is still one of the most memorable things I have ever done at a convention. From that fashion show, I met so many cool people and of course was exposed to lots of geek fashion – some old and some new! One of the pieces that really stuck with me was 1138 Clothing’s Harry Potter inspired look. The feminine skirt with the ultra cute…

Plaid to the Bone
All I wanted to wear in the early/mid ’90s was plaid. I remember wearing giant flannel shirts all the time, especially ones my dad had gotten from Eddie Bauer – those were my favorites! Flannel always seems to make it’s way around again when the weather gets cold and a plaid flannel is a great piece to wear over any old t-shirt, especially when you’re tired of wearing a cardigan! It definitely has a more rocker/lumberjack vibe so make sure…
