Giving in to the Chunky Sweater
I’ve always been really reluctant to wear chunky sweaters. Maybe because they conjure up memories of being a kid stuck in a big uncomfortable wool sweater and not being able to move or maybe because they always seemed itchy. But with the Bay Area recently being in a state of “extreme cold”, I finally decided to give it a go. Granted, this is not the warmest sweater (yeah, I don’t think having a sweater with lots of holes will do…

Party Time in the ’60s!
I love a good holiday party, especially if that means feeling festive and getting dressed up. This year I decided to forego the sequins and gold and go with a simpler black and white look. As I chose the pieces for this outfit, I started to realize that my outfit began to look more and more like an outfit from the ’50s or ’60s – the sheer boxy top, vintage glam jewelry, and especially the back seam tights. Even though I loved the look,…

The Best Boyfriend [Sweater] in the World
I’ve been in a pretty casual wearing mood lately, which might have to do with the cold weather or being sick for two weeks. Either way, oversized sweaters seem to be my go-to piece these days. Paired with skinny jeans, a skirt, or even leggings, these “boyfriend” sweaters make a great comfortable and loose piece that you can throw on over virtually anything. Let’s just hope this “boyfriend” is a good one!

California Girl
It may already be mid-November and on the verge of winter, but living in California, it’s just starting to feel like fall. And there’s nothing like a good sweater to kick off the drop in temperature. I’ve never been a fan of thick chunky sweaters and love that this one has a so cal surfer look and can be worn year round. This one may be a bit to “holey” to keep you truly warm in most places during the…
