Vintage Lace
I’ve been seeing lace everywhere since last fall and here’s one of my favorite lace pieces. I initially saw this top on Piperlime because of Olivia Palermo’s “style picks”. I only know Olivia Palermo from The City (spin off of The Hills) and although she comes off incredibly snobby and sort of bitchy, you can’t deny that she’s got great style.

Going to a convention with nothing to wear
So you’re going to a comic convention and don’t have a cosplay. What’s a girl to do? Grab your [insert comic, game, movie theme here] shirt, throw on some shorts, long socks, and a pair of converses and you have an outfit. That’s exactly what I did. Taking a Day Trip
I love fun patterned tops. Case in point, take this blouse from Anthropologie. It’s called the “Skipped Beats” blouse and features fun electric red and blue coils combined with subtle nautical buttons on the sleeves and back. I love the idea of tall boots and shorts, but hate that it’s too…

Hello Polka Dots!
Somehow the Marc by Marc Jacobs line is always able to stay modern, yet vintage at the same time. This blouse has the basics of any old polka dot blouse, but with some extra details in the front. I usually don’t like big bows in the front either, but find that the polka dots on this one make it less serious.

Blushing Pinks
I saw this beautiful tulle skirt on modcloth and had to check it out. It’s so convenient that they finally started offering free shipping and returns too! I remember seeing frilly mini skirts all over Japan last winter and they always seemed so feminine and fun. Glad I could finally find one that suits my style (and isn’t ridiculously short on my 5’9″ frame).
